One of the most anticipated attractions for race fans at the Oswego Speedway in a long time will be unveiled in the 60th season of racing in 2010. The Davey Hamilton “2-Seater Supermodified” will be available for individuals and companies to buy various ride packages in the car. Long time Oswego Speedway sponsor, State Farm Insurance Agent Chris Nelson, will be giving away four rides to fans through some upcoming online and in-person contests.

The biggest rookie supermodified class in recent history is anticipated for the 2010 season at Oswego Speedway.  Dave Gruel and Larry Muroski are moving up to the big blocks this summer from the PathFinder Bank SBS Series, while Shaun Gosselin and Cody Graham are expected to see seat time as well.  One of the first drivers to throw his “hat in the ring” for Rookie of the Year honors in the Novelis Supermodified class is SBS veteran David Danzer.

The 2010 season at the Oswego Speedway marks the nineteenth year of competition for the PathFinder Bank Small Block Super Racing Series. As has often been mentioned, the SBS Series could be the main class of cars at most any weekly track in the country instead of being the support class at Oswego. In recognition of the great support that the SBS teams have provided over their existence at Oswego, the Oswego Speedway announces a purse increase for regular weekly events.

The deadline has come and gone for the sign-up period for the 2010 Novelis Supermodified “Commitment Program” at the Oswego Speedway. The program has normally be limited to the top twenty car owner from the previous year but there are more than twenty teams that have expressed an interest in signing up for the program for 2010.
