One of the most anticipated attractions for race fans at the Oswego Speedway in a long time will be unveiled in the 60th season of racing in 2010. The Davey Hamilton “2-Seater Supermodified” will be available for individuals and companies to buy various ride packages in the car. Long time Oswego Speedway sponsor, State Farm Insurance Agent Chris Nelson, will be giving away four rides to fans through some upcoming online and in-person contests.

The four ride winners in the “ChrisNelsonInsurance.com” contests will all win five lap rides and receive four entry tickets to a regular 45 lap night of racing at the Oswego Speedway. The contests are open to fans that are eighteen years of age or older and are free to enter. You can enter each separate contest to try and increase your chances of winning a free ride.

The first ride giveaway will be a web-based contest on the Oswego Speedway’s website. Fans will be able to send their name, address, phone number and date of birth to a contest e-mail address through Monday March 1st. One winner will be selected at random and announced on the speedway website after the contest period ends.

The second ride giveaway will be at the Gater News Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday March 13th and 14th. Fans will be able to see the 2-Seater Supermodified in the Oswego Speedway booth and sign up in person to enter the contest. The winner from that contest will be announced on the Oswego Speedway website after the conclusion of the Gater News Expo.

The third ride giveaway will be at the Tim Barbeau Fundraiser on March 20th at the Lighthouse Lanes. “ChrisNelsonInsurance.com” is a proud long time sponsor of the defending SBS Track Championship car owner Tim Barbeau. Fans that attend Tim Barbeau's fundraiser will automatically be entered to win a ride when they buy their ticket for the event. Fans will need to be sure that their complete contact information is on their ticket when they turn it in to pick up their meal. The winner will be selected at the conclusion of the event by Tim Barbeau or Chris Nelson.

The fourth and final ride giveaway will be on Memorial Day Weekend at the Oswego Speedway. Chris Nelson Insurance will have a table set up inside the main gate and fans will be able to sign up for the final ride there. That will be a can collection day for Habitat for Humanity and Novelis and the racing program will consist of memorial feature events for Jim Shampine, Tony White and Richie Evans.

The fun for the four rides to be given away is already under way with the internet version of the contest. Track announcer Roy Sova has been overseeing the 2-Seater Supermodified program and has already sold in excess of four dozen fan rides for the car. All contest winners will work with Roy to coordinate the date and time that they will be taking their rides. These four giveaways are open to all fans that are eighteen years of age and older. There is no fee to enter the contest. All entry blanks must contain complete contact information including date of birth. Alternate winners will be selected for all four contests in case prize winners do no meet eligibility requirements.

The Oswego Speedway thanks “ChrisNelsonInsurance.com” for offering this contest to the race fans. Chris wishes all the fans good luck with the contests and encourages them to enter all the contests to increase their chance of winning.
