The deadline has come and gone for the sign-up period for the 2010 Novelis Supermodified “Commitment Program” at the Oswego Speedway. The program has normally be limited to the top twenty car owner from the previous year but there are more than twenty teams that have expressed an interest in signing up for the program for 2010.
This popular program was created at Oswego Speedway a few seasons ago to reward those owners that ran a full season with higher weekly take home money and a spot in the feature if they ran into problems in their qualifying heat race. With the state of the Novelis Supermodified division growing stronger over the past few seasons, it may become reality where the Oswego Speedway decides to expand the Commitment Program beyond twenty owners. The field is locked in for 2010 and a waiting list has been established. The following drivers have been registered by car owners for the 2010 program: Joe Gosek (00), Daniel Connors (01), Dave McKnight (08), Tim Snyder (0) Pat Lavery (2), Otto Sitterly (7), Stephen Gioia III (9), Andy Noto (19), David Gruel (22), Jason Spaulding (23), Jerry Curran (24), Hal LaTulip (56), Lou LeVea, Sr. (61), Greg Furlong (72), Keith Gilliam (87), Keith Shampine (88), Todd Stowell (89), Ray Graham (90), Craig Rayvals (94) and Joey Payne (99). If the decision is made to slightly expand the program the pool of drivers on the “waiting list” consists of Cody Graham, Jeff Holbrook, David Danzer, Shawn Muldoon, Michael Barnes, Shawn Gosselin and Larry Muroski. These combined lists of twenty seven teams that will try to miss no more that one feature race in 2010 shows an increase for the third year in a row of Novelis Supermodifieds competing at the Oswego Speedway. |
