The Oswego Speedway Old Timers Reunion is coming together for the 2009 season. A new corporate sponsorship has been added to the program to help out of town guests who need lodging in Oswego to attend the weekend of activities. Days Inn and Scottish Inns, both in Oswego, will be offering a “Reunion Rate” for those out of town visitors.

The date for the Old Timers Reunion Weekend for 2009 is Friday and Saturday July 10th and 11th. The weekend starts off with the annual mid-summer WSEN Super Cruise at the Oswego Speedway. This event will again offer Syracuse Nationals trophies to the winners of six selected categories. For 2009 more categories have been added so there will be more winners and even more vehicles on hand to be judged.

The Old Timers Reunion committee will again be set up in the infield next to the Victory Lane area on Friday night to handle last minute ticket sales and announce details for the following day’s activities. The special guests expected will be announced as the 2009 reunion draws closer.

Days Inn and Scottish Inns in Oswego will be the sponsors of the 2009 Old Timers Reunion Weekend. Both locations in Oswego will be offering a special “Reunion Rate” of just $45 for Friday night July 10th. This old timer’s rate which matches the number of laps in a regular supermodified feature has been extended to fans that normally travel to Oswego to be part of the reunion event. This special rate for Friday night will make it possible for fans to come to town and be part of the Super Cruise on Friday and the Old Timers Reunion on Saturday.

Fans can call the Days Inn at 315-343-3136 or the Scottish Inns at 315-343-4900 and request the “Reunion Rate” when making reservations to come to Oswego for that weekend. The discount will be taken care of when a guest shows their Old Timers Reunion ticket at check-in. Last year nearly three dozen attendees of the Old Timers Reunion did stay in local hotels and motels for the reunion event. For 2009 everyone that stays at either of these hotels will get in on this special $45 room rate for Friday night.
