An exciting new program is in place for out of town race fans that stay at either the Econo Lodge or Best western on East First Street in Oswego during the 2008 racing season. Guests will be able to get a discount off their room rates and be entered into a drawing for two sets of VIP Tower passes for July 19th when Econo Lodge and Best Western are co-sponsors for the night of racing along with Oswego Bagelry and Sandwich Shop.
The Econo Lodge and Best Western, locally owned by the Broadwell family, have long been supporters of the Oswego Speedway. In 2008 they have shifted their sponsorship around and have become a race night co-sponsor. Every weekend during the racing season several fans from outside of the area, especially north of the border, make it to Oswego to watch the racing action. Oswego Speedway lodging partners like Econo Lodge and Best Western recognize the important role that the Oswego Speedway plays on tourism and they welcome the visiting fans with open arms. There will be more on the line for guests of those two hotels in 2008. Race fans staying at Econo Lodge or Best Western will receive a 10% discount off their room rate at check out just by showing their Oswego Speedway ticket stub. (The stubs do not have to be turned in as they have discount coupons of their own on them.) There is even more on the line in 2008 than just the 10% room discount. Guests of Econo Lodge or Best Western will have the chance to register at the front desk from opening weekend through July 12th for a chance to win a pair of VIP Tower Passes for the July 19th race co-sponsored by Econo Lodge and Best Western. One set of VIP Tower Passes will be awarded at each location. The drawing will be on Monday July 14th. The Oswego Speedway looks forward to welcoming the winning race fans into the VIP Tower on July 19th. The Oswego Speedway also appreciates the discount offer extended by Econo Lodge and Best Western for visiting race fans this season. For visiting fans and local residents the Oswego Speedway encourages fans to check out “The Deck” off of G.S. Steamers Bar located at Econo Lodge. This brand new vantage point overlooking the Oswego River is expected to be open for Memorial Day Weekend. |
