OSWEGO, NY (March 7, 2013) – Oswego Speedway’s racers will once again put it all on the line for a little something extra in 2013. The weekly Hard Charger and Up & Comer Awards will be back for this coming racing season with the help of D&S Landscaping, Nice Price Auto Sales, and the Lighthouses Lanes bowling center in Oswego.
Both the Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions will be in on the action, with two special bonuses awarded each week their respective division hits the Speedway.
Lighthouse Lanes will present both the Hard Charger and Up & Comer Awards to the Novelis Supermodified division in 2013. The Lighthouse Lanes Hard Charger Award will be presented to the driver that advances the most positions from his/her starting spot in that night’s feature, while the Lighthouse Lanes Up & Comer Award will be presented to the highest finishing driver in the feature order that has never won a Novelis Supermodified main event. Each award winner will earn a certificate from Lighthouse Lanes for a free sheet pizza, 25 chicken wings, and a lane of cosmic bowling for their race team.
Lighthouse Lanes was built in 2003 and spearheaded by owners Bob Hoefer and Nick Sereno. With the assistance of veteran manager Dana Hollister, Oswego’s home for bowling has become one of the premier locations in the Central New York area. About Oswego Speedway: Oswego Speedway, a sports entertainment company, is a 5/8 mile semi-banked pavement racing oval located off the shores of Lake Ontario in scenic Oswego, NY. Oswego Speedway has been a continuously run weekly racing venue since August, 1951.
