OSWEGO, NY (March 12, 2018) - As part of the continuation of the longstanding partnership between Oswego Speedway and the world’s leader in recycled aluminum, the Novelis ‘Fan Can Chase’ will return to the speedway with three dates in 2018.

Throughout 2017, 116,000 cans were collected through three events, pushing the all-time can count at Oswego Speedway to over 1.4 million in a joint effort with Novelis and Scriba Bottle and Can. Jim Larkin repeated as champion last season and was rewarded with the choice between three huge prizes, which will again be the case for this year’s winner.

As done in years past, the winner of the 2018 Fan Can Chase will receive his or her choice of two 2019 regular season reserved seat tickets, two 2019 season pit passes, or two 2019 regular season SkyDeck passes for their efforts.

Positions two or three in the Fan Can Chase will have the opportunity to pick from the remaining two prizes. Fans representing households four through twelve in the running will all receive 2018 general admission grandstands passes for two as part the 62nd running of Budweiser International Classic Weekend on September 1 and 2.

The dates for the Novelis Fan Chase in 2018 include ‘Opening Night’ on Saturday, May 26 featuring the Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50’s and Tony White Memorial 35. There will then be one can night each in June and July as part of Galloway Century 21 and Oswego D-Bus Independence Weekend ‘Grand Prix’ night on June 30 as well as the 32nd annual $10,000 Mr. Novelis Supermodified and Mr. Pathfnder Bank SBS event set for Saturday, July 21. Don’t forget to “get your can to the speedway” this season!
