OSWEGO, NY (March 11, 2014) – Cub Scout Pack 809 is holding their annual pinewood derby on Saturday at Premier Living Suites in Oswego, and Oswego Speedway will be on hand to help celebrate.

The pinewood derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America.  Pinewood derby race cars are constructed with wood, usually from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles.

Pinewood derby racing action is slated to begin on Saturday at 11am.

Oswego Speedway Small Block Super racer Mike Bruce is expected to be in attendance.  The Speedway encourages as many drivers to attend as possible to help cheer on the Cub Scouts.
