OSWEGO, NY (July 19, 2018) - The fourteenth edition of the Novelis Fan Can Chase wraps up this Saturday night at the Oswego Speedway as part of Best Western Plus Captain’s Quarters and Quality Inn & Suites Riverfront Mr. Novelis Supermodified and Mr. Pathfinder Bank SBS. So far this season, nearly 40,000 cans have been collected with the overall total creeping up on 1.5 million cans turned in all-time. OSWEGO, NY - The family of Fred Graves and John Nicotra Racing are preparing for a special day Saturday, August 4th during the “Retro Night” plus Old Timers’ Reunion at Oswego Speedway. Team owner John Nicotra and Fred’s oldest son, Andy Graves, have partnered to detail one of Nicotra’s supermodifieds – either Otto Sitterly’s No. 7 or Dave Shullick Jr.’s No. 2 – to replicate the silver No. 39 four-wheel drive, rear-engine supermodified that Fred Graves campaigned at the speedway in 1975 and 1976. Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions - OSWEGO, NY (July 14, 2018) - Jason Simmons Racing and team partner Lindsey Aggregates have joined together to purchase the former Tim Devendorf Hawk Chassis Supermodified for driver Tyler Thompson, who currently leads Oswego Speedway’s Novelis Supermodified Rookie of the Year standings. Built new in 2015, the former No. 5 Hawk Chassis will join the Jason Simmons Racing No. 98 stable, which already houses a former Graham Racing Supermodified. By ROY SOVA There are a lot of takeaways from last night’s racing at the Oswego Speedway. Great racing, missing cars, rookie improvements, hard hits, tremendous efforts, and did I mention great racing. Hats off to the crew of the 11 Supermodified. I talked to Dave and Aric Iosue in their hauler before practice. Aric listed everything that had to be replaced following last week’s hard hit into the turn three foam.
