  It was a family reunion of sorts in the supermodified division at Oswego Speedway Saturday night, as Ray Graham beat out son Kody in the 61-lap feature event during Race of Champions weekend.  Kody Graham led the race until breaking loose and sliding sideways out of turn four on lap 36, when dad Ray slid under and took the lead. The #90 drove away from there for his first win of 2011.

  It’s Race of Champions Weekend!  While this season has already been one headline grabber after another at Oswego Speedway, this weekend marks the start of the big money, high prestige shows in 2011.  The 61st annual Race of Champions takes to the line Saturday night, along with a weekend full of action on the track.

  Otto Sitterly and Kreig Heroth each picked up dominating wins in action at Oswego Speedway Saturday night.  Sitterly took the lead from Tim Snyder on a lap 18 restart, and sped away for the full second win.  Heroth went to the point with a lap 1 pass of Lou Levea Jr, and easily cruised ahead of Mike Bond for his first win of the season.

 Fans and supporters of the small block supermodified division will be given the opportunity in 2011 to support the drivers and owners by sponsoring a lap for the 20th Bud Light Classic 100 for PathFinder Bank SBS Series, on Saturday, September 3rd during Classic Weekend.   For just $20, two drivers will get some bonus money for each lap that is purchased.  $12 will go to the
leader of that lap, and $8 will go to the driver who runs in 2nd place.

We’re in the dog days of summer, as July is always one of the best racing months of the year.  Here at Oswego Speedway, two weeks ago we had a barnburner as Joey Payne out maneuvered Randy Ritskes for the win, while last week Mike Lichty stole the show.  Mike picked up his long awaited first ever Oswego Speedway supermodified win with the victory in the King of Wings 50. 
This week is a regular show, and next week, is already RoC Weekend!  We’re halfway through the season already?  Really?
