Menter’s Ambulance Service, originally of Fulton, NY, recently opened in Oswego and longtime race fans Zach and Jim Menter are excited to be on board with Double D Motorsports lead driver and team owner, Dalton Doyle. Doyle, who drove his No. 01 Hedger chassis to 11th in the final SBS standings at Oswego Speedway in 2012, will also introduce a team car in 2013 with former DIRT Sportsman driver Josh Blackwell at the control...Read More...

OSWEGO, NY (March 25, 2013) - As the field of Novelis Supermodifieds continues to grow at Oswego Speedway, a number of new or returning faces are making their way into the division.  One of those drivers competing for Rookie of the Year status is the driver of the Locke Crane Services No. 37, Jeff Locke.  “It’s a dream coming true, I always wanted to run at Oswego Speedway,” Locke said as he works on his supermodified readying for Opening Day 2013. “Looking at the schedule, I should think about getting an apartment in Oswego,” he laughed. “We’re looking at running a full schedule ...Read More...

OSWEGO, NY (March 22, 2013) – After blowing an engine last July during Oswego Speedway’s Race of Champions Weekend, Fort Plain, NY driver Kreig Heroth appeared a long shot for the Pathfinder Bank SBS Series track championship behind the wheel of his Hedger chassis No. 04 machine.  Down 38-points to 2011 champion Mike Bond, Heroth managed to rebound in spectacular fashion over the final three weeks of the season, picking up consecutive feature victories to end the year and overcome the odds to claim his first career track championship by a mere six points over Bond. While many would look at Heroth’s misfortune ...Read More...

HOMESTEAD, Fla. - After closing out the 2012 season with a Classic win and Fall Championship triumph, John Nicotra Racing and three-time International Classic 200 champion Otto Sitterly have participated in a busy offseason that has helped expose non-wing supermodified racing to race fans throughout the country. The newest super in the team's stable, a scary-fast 2012 Hawk Jr chassis that Canadian Mike Lichty wheeled in last September's Classic, has graced the floor of two marquee auto racing trade shows this past winter, and in a terrific promotion for supermodified racing, the car was featured on the cover of the January ...Read More...

OSWEGO, NY (March 15, 2013) – When the 2013 Oswego Speedway schedule was unveiled back in November with a total of 16 Supermodified events, including four ISMA winged-Supermodified races, it is not unreasonable to say that Fulton, NY driver Dave Gruel was excited. Why wouldn’t he be? Gruel barnstormed the Supermodified ranks at Oswego back in 2010 driving the Double Deuce Racing No. 50, winning the Rookie of the Year title, and collecting his first career win in the same season.  In 2011 he backed it up with another Novelis Supermodified victory and in 2012 bolstered his resume even further with an ISMA Supermodif...Read More...
