OSWEGO, NY (February 27) – The Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) and Oswego Speedway are proud to announce the return of the popular winged midget series to the ‘Steel Palace’ on Saturday, August 25.  NEMA, which enters its 60th season of competition in 2012, has not sanctioned an event at Oswego since International Supermodified Association (ISMA) champion Chris Perley drove to victory lane in the Don Berrio owned No. 2 midget racer in 2005.

OSWEGO, NY (February 22) - “We want to finish races, have fun, and roll it on the trailer at the end of the night,” is how veteran Novelis Supermodified driver Michael Barnes described what he is looking for out of his 2012 Novelis Supermodified season at Oswego Speedway.  “That’s how we’re looking at it.  Of course we want to run well and win races, but we all get along and have fun.  The way I’m looking at it is, this is my sophomore year of Supermodified racing at Oswego Speedway.“

OSWEGO, NY (February 20) – Oswego Speedway and Price Chopper Supermarkets are once again proud to announce their ‘Tickets to Go’ program aimed at giving Price Chopper shoppers and Speedway race fans discounted advance sale adult tickets in 2012.  For the coming season the Speedway and Price Chopper have teamed to offer this special discount on 8 of the 13 regular season racing weekends, the most ever since the program’s inception in 2009.

OSWEGO, NY (February 16) – The Oswego Speedway and Novelis, the series sponsor of the famed Supermodified division, are proud to announce the return of the popular ‘Novelis Fan Can Chase’ in 2012.  In the past two seasons this recycling partnership has surpassed the half million mark in recyclable cans thanks to the generous race fans that have donated an average of over 100,000 cans for each of the past six seasons in exchange for race tickets and other Oswego Speedway prizes.

OSWEGO, NY (February 13) - The Oswego Speedway and Gater Racing News are teaming up to give away three rides in the 2-seat Supermodified.  The announcement was made by Joe Patrick of Gater Racing News, and Oswego Speedway 2-seat Supermodified Coordinator, Roy Sova.  Patrick said, “The 2-seat Supermodified ride is the closest most people will ever get to taking a competitive lap in a real race car, and Gater Racing News is excited to be working with the Oswego Speedway to provide fans this opportunity.”

OSWEGO, NY (February 7) – With the 62nd consecutive season of racing at Oswego Speedway knocking on the door, 46 weekly competitors have signed on for the 2012 Speedway commitment program.  The Novelis Supermodified division has already filled its 24 spots, while the Pathfinder Bank SBS Series is proving it is back on the rise with 22 teams signed on for the weekly commitment.
