Ride with the Legends Nearly Sold Out
By Oswego Speedway @ 2:14 PM :: 692 Views

Just seven rides remain in the 2013 Classic Weekend Ride with the Legends at the Oswego Speedway.  Three rides were available with each of the Oswego Speedway Hall of Fame drivers, and now there are just a total of 7 rides remaining.

“Every year we try to pick drivers that appeal to the widest range of Oswego Speedway fans,” said 2-seat Supermodified coordinator Roy Sova.  “Three drivers have been with us since the very first year,” said Sova, “while others are on the driver roster for the first time, and one is coming back after missing a year.”

The drivers this year are, in alphabetical order, Eddie Bellinger, Joe Gosek, Davey Hamilton, Dave McKnight, Jamie Moore, and Mike Ordway.

“Eddie, Joe and Davey have been with the Ride with the Legends program since the first year,” said Sova, “This will be Dave’s third year, Jamie is coming back for his second time after a one year absence, and Mike is with us for the first time.”

Right now Eddie is sold out.  There is one ride left with Joe, Davey and Mike, and two rides left with Jamie and Dave.  Other drivers who have driven in the Ride with the Legends program include Pat Abold, Doug Heveron, Otto Sitterly and Bentley Warren.

The Ride with the Legends program annually donates a portion of the ride money to a local charity.  This year the money will go to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Fulton.

The Center watches out for those who often can’t watch out for themselves.  Children are extremely vulnerable to all sorts of problems and abuse, and the Children’s Advocacy Center is there to try to make sure these young people have better representation, and are being watched over properly.

To schedule one of the remaining rides call Roy Sova at 315-297-2262.

Rides include a push off lap and five (5) green flag laps with the rider of your choice.  Each rider will receive a gift bag which will include, among other things, a FleetPride miniature pocket screwdriver, a Ferris Industries T-shirt, cozies, and other merchandise from partitipating sponsors.

Rides are $275.00, with a portion of the money from each ride sold, going to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Fulton.
