New Online Source for Speedway Interviews, Highlights
OSWEGO, NY (March 19) – As part of Oswego Speedway’s continued push to bring its race fans closer to the racing action, the Speedway is proud to debut its OswegoSpeedwayOnline YouTube channel. The Speedway will utilize the channel weekly to deliver driver interviews and racing highlights throughout the 2012 season. The weekly videos will automatically be linked directly to Oswego Speedway’s social media outlets, as well as to www.oswegospeedway.com.
In order to view the Speedway’s full listing of video on YouTube, simply type OswegoSpeedwayOnline into the search field at the top of the YouTube homepage and you will be automatically directed to the Speedway’s full library. Once there, you can subscribe to the Speedway channel for free which allows you to connect with other people and be notified when the Speedway uploads a new video.
“Part of continuing our recent PR push is to allow the race fans to see more of the drivers and teams,” said Oswego Speedway PR Specialist, Dan Kapuscinski. “Through our social media outlets and oswegospeedway.com, we are now able to bring fans weekly video interviews and interactive pieces to bring them closer to the action and hopefully make the whole Saturday night experience feel a little more personal.”
This week’s online program includes interviews from the Gater Racing News Motorsports Expo. Oswego Speedway announcer, Roy Sova, had a chance to speak with 2011 Budweiser International Classic 200 Novelis Supermodified pole sitter Randy Ritskes. In the interview Ritskes explains how he became the driver of the Darratt Farms No. 88 Novelis Supermodified, and looked back on his 2011 campaign which saw him finish second in the Novelis Supermodified championship.
Sova also caught up with long time car owner of the Plum Krazy field of Novelis Supermodifieds, Pat Strong. An owner in the Novelis Supermodified division since 1992, Strong chatted about his first Oswego Speedway feature win with Joey Payne at the wheel, and looks ahead to 2012 with new shoe Michael Barnes.
Fans can see both interviews and more from the Gater Racing News Motorsports Expo by visiting YouTube or www.oswegospeedway.com.
The 2012 racing season at Oswego Speedway begins May 5th. Events run May through September on most Saturday nights, culminating with the Fall Championship 75 on September 15th.
The annual Speedway open practice is scheduled for April 28th.
