By Oswego Speedway @ 7:37 AM :: 1002 Views

After a two week lay off in racing action at the Oswego Speedway fans and competitors are back on July 4th for an exciting holiday doubleheader. In the PathFinder Bank SBS Tony White Memorial, will somebody other than Dave Gruel or Mike Bond get to victory lane? In the Novelis Supermodified Jim Shampine Memorial, will the streak of different weekly winners continue?

This is the first of back-to-back big weekends at the Oswego Speedway. The July 4th holiday weekend will see lots of racing action on the track along with fans activities in the infield after the races. The Jim Shampine and Tony White Memorial races will be held on Independence Weekend for the first time.

The Jim Shampine Memorial 58 race will be the traditional fifty lap holiday race plus eight more laps for his car number. The Tony White Memorial 34 will be a thirty lap feature plus four more laps for his car number. That is just the beginning on this holiday weekend racing night. The Midstate Antique Modifieds will make their annual trip to the Oswego Speedway to join the racing action. Before the races, Novelis will hold their second can collection of 2009 and all the fans get to go onto the track to meet their favorite drivers during the Constellation and Entergy “Kids Autograph Session”. After the races there will be fireworks display and the Domicolo & Barlow Band will then perform on the Galloway & Burkes Stage in the infield for all to enjoy. This giant July 4th holiday weekend at the Oswego Speedway is brought to you by R.M. Burritt Motors and Davis Brothers Inc.
